POP Rivets Threaded Inserts
POP® Rivet from Emhart also brings unique solutions in fastening into thin plastics with the Jack Nut®. The Jack Nut is an economical blind fastener designed for assembly use in thin, soft or brittle materials. When tightened, the body collapses to form legs which grip the inside mounting surface, leaving a permanent, reusable threaded insert. Available in steel, brass and steel with PVC or Raintite™ coating in sizes from 6-32 to 3/8-16 threads. Jacknut® is perfected suited for use in rotational molding applications.
The Well-Nut® is a flanged neoprene bushing with a brass machine nut molded into one end. Tightening a conventional screw threaded into the Brass insert causes the insert to expand, making a secure fastening. Available in a variety of rubber compounds for a full range of automotive and industrial applications. Well-Nut® is well suited for attachment of external mirrors and lights on vehicles.
